Using the side of a fully loaded No. 6 round brush with yellow green, gently drag the brush over the paper letting the paper take the paint to produce a random shaped broken wash. It's easier to get the effect if the brush is held in the underhand grip.
It doesn't matter if your shape is not the same as the example, it's just a foliage effect that you need. Drop in some of the greener mix at the bottom edges to suggest foliage in shadow. Don't wait for the paint to dry go to step 2.
