Annan Amateur Art Club

The Annan Amateur Art Club is a group of enthusiastic artists of all abilities. The Club meets weekly from October to May at 2pm on Wednesdays in St John's Church Hall, St John's Road, Annan.



The Arnold Art Society was formed in 1967 and continues to follow in the footsteps of one of their most prominent artists, namely Richard Parkes Bonington, who was born in Arnold in 1802. It has some very accomplished artists and at present over 130 members; a must-see site.

Ashby Art Club


Club of about 100 members. Open to all levels of ability. Site gives information about the Club and has an on line gallery of members work. Also lists exhibitions, contacts, years programme and special events.

Birmingham Watercolour Society

West Midlands

Founded  in 1907 dedicated to the advancement of watercolour painting.

Birstall and District


We are a mixed ability group sharing a common interest, a group where we all help each other and where the absolute beginner is as welcome as the professional artist. Members hail from many parts of the north east of the county.

Buckingham Art Society



BAS plays a very active role in the visual arts in Buckinghamshire, organizing exhibitions, lectures, demonstrations, outdoor art-trails, gallery visits and other art-related events. Many of these are open to the public. The Society maintains close links with both the County Museum in Aylesbury and the Milton Keynes Gallery.

Bury St Edmunds Art Society


The Society provides a wide range of activities available to members. In addition to the monthly programme of talks and demonstrations in the Cathedral Lecture Room, a series of painting days are arranged which offer members a chance to work under the eye of an experienced tutor

Coverack Art Club


We are a relaxed and friendly group who meet on Mondays throughout the year from 10.30 - 16.00. We have tuition and demonstrations from local professional artists at many of our meetings.

Croydon Art Society


Founded in 1881 the Croydon Art Society is one of the oldest Art Societies in England, outside London. The Society in its early years was called ‘The Watteau Society’, no doubt in honour of the great French artist.

Dorchester Art Club


Dorchester Art Club runs a programme of demonstrations, talks, tutorials and "on location" painting sessions. It organises a Members' Spring Exhibition and a Summer Open Exhibition of paintings and sculptures

Dunblane Art Club


An Amateur Group of Artists who meet in Dunblane Cathedral Halls Tuesdays at 2 pm. Exhibitions and Gallery of Members work.

Friendly Society of Artists


The Friendly Society of Artists comprises a very friendly group of both amateur, and professional United Kingdom artists, who share a love of painting outdoors, in a variety of media - watercolour, pastels, oils, acrylics etc.

Harrogate and Nidderdale Art Club


Harrogate and Nidderdale Art Club was formed in 1936, currently has 99 members (and a waiting list) and meets every Friday evening between 7 and 9 PM, all year round, in The Convent at 35 Oatlands Drive, Harrogate.

Holyrood Art Club


Lectures alternate with tuition classes (watercolour, figure, do your own thing).7.30-9.30pm, Wednesday, October-April

Ipswich Art Society


Founded in 1874, the Ipswich Art Society is one of the longest established art societies in the UK, and has amongst its members many talented professional and amateur artists. The Society plays an active role in the visual arts in East Anglia organising exhibitions, lectures, and social events for its members, friends, and for the public.

Leicester Sketch Club

Leighton Buzzard Art Society


LBAS is an active society that has been established for many years and currently has about 160 members of all abilities. We meet on the first Thursday evening of each month, usually for a demonstration. LBAS organises three exhibitions each year; in November, February and  May, and we also arrange occasional Saturday workshops.

Llanelli Art Society


Llanelli Art Society was formed in 1927 by a small group of Artists  The membership is about 150. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the Month at the Conservative Club, Cowell St, Llanelli

Musselburgh Art Club


Musselburgh Art Club are a group of individuals of mixed ability, over 16 years of age, who meet to draw and paint. Various meetings throughout the week

Orwell Art Club


The Orwell Art Club was founded on 14th June 1947 when it was known as the Rangers Art Club and was formed with the objective of "fostering and encouraging the Art of Sketching and Painting amongst all classes of people of both sexes and of all ages".

Toynbee Hall Art Club


 Est. 1886 by Charles Robert Ashbee. The Toynbee Art Club focuses on life drawing, however, we intend to expand our field of interest, and rekindle the pioneering spirit of our founding father, with a more active goal of once again teaching the craft of drawing and painting in the ethos of  Ruskin and the Old Masters at the Toynbee Hall. We see ourselves continuing to play a role in the development of skills and talent in East London, and aspire to further the wider social aims of the Club’s founding father at Toynbee Hall.

The Wallingford & District Art Club was founded in 1979, by Artists and Art Lovers from Wallingford (Oxfordshire UK) and its surrounding villages.

Winchester Art Club


Winchester Art Club was founded in 1919 in which year it absorbed the earlier Winchester Fine Arts Society which had existed since 1888. No qualifications are needed to join and our members range from complete beginners to experienced artists. Our membership currently stands at about 300.
